Simple economics says then supply goes down and demand goes up the price of that commodity will rise in relation to how severe these factors are. With the drastic price increase in gas and oil lately how severe would you say the problem is? Alternative Energy is our best, and only choice.

Laying aside our discussion of supply and demand for a minute, we also know that gas and oil create pollutants in our air and water. But our addiction keeps us running this equipment for our very lives depend on it. Alternative Energy sources, for the most part do not create harmful pollution. Clean renewable Alternative Energy from the sun or wind will keep your home running without those toxic emissions.

Have you seen those new hybrid electric cars? It’s a start. Alternative Energy can be used for personal transportation, and will soon. For the most part Alternative Energy is used to run your home right now.

Installing solar panels, a wind generator, or a micro hydro system is a great place to start. At our home, if the sun isn’t shining then the wind is probably blowing. All of this energy can be used to produce alternative energy to run your home.

Installing a few solar panels is a great place to start because they are relatively easy to install.

The modular nature of a solar installation allows you to buy a few panels now and add on to that system as time and money permits.

How about a Wind Generator to produce Alternative Energy

In recent years wind generators have been popping up all over the countryside, and for good reason. Today smaller wind generators are quieter and require very little maintenance compare to older models. People are turning to the wind for Alternative Energy. For an AlternativeEnergy system a wind generator is a great choice, if you have a good windy location.

You could even build your own wind generator to produce Alternative Energy. Our most recent in the shop project was to do just that.

It cost pennies compared to most store bought models and it didn’t require any special expensive tools to build either. I like working mostly with wood, but this mechanical project turned out to be more fun than I thought.
