For years we dreamed of owning our own home, but how? Every year our family would save money and save money but we never got any closer to realizing our dream. When we decided to make the move to off grid living we decided to build our own home as well. We just wanted it to be our own. We built a wind generator to run our off grid home. Finding wind generator plans that we could download now actually proved to be the hardest part of the whole project.

My 12 year old son Andre’ and I had decided that we needed a 1000 watt wind generator. We looked at the price of wind generators and quickly found out that the $2000 price tag was not in our budget.
